REVEECO FAQ
Is the EcoVéa easy to install? Can I install it myself?
The EcoVéa is easy to install and integrates well into a wide variety of decors. It can either sit directly on the floor or be built in. However, Reveeco recommends that you hire a licensed plumber for all plumbing work and a licensed electrician for all electrical wiring. Installation constraints include relocating water intakes at the base level and bringing a power source to the shower base. Please consult the installation and maintenance guide for further information.
Does EcoVéa store and reuse water from previous showers?
No. The EcoVéa does not store any water between showers. The cleaning cycle insures that pipes are completely drained and washed. Every shower session is independent from the previous one. Each user uses only his/her own recycled water.
Is it safe, given the presence electricity with water?
Yes. If used properly, the EcoVéa is absolutely safe. The system works on low voltage, which prevents any risk to the user.
Does the EcoVéa shower come with a shower head, door and enclosure?
No. The EcoVéa includes only a shower base and an electronic control pad (replacing manual faucets). It can be paired with most shower heads and enclosures found at home improvement retailers. Please note that the shower base can also be embedded in the floor for an Italian shower look.
Does the EcoVéa come in different sizes or colors?
For now, the EcoVéa only comes in one size (36 x 36 x 7.4 in / 92 x 92 x 18.8 cm) and color (white), except for the cover plate, for which there are four options: tempered glass, stainless steel, teak wood and plastic.
What maintenance is required?
The control pad informs the user when maintenance is needed. There are three principal tasks: filling the cleanser tank (every ~ 2,000 uses), changing the filter (~ 4,000 uses) and changing the UV lamp (~ 10,000 uses). All these tasks are easy and quick to carry out. Maintenance tasks are detailed in the installation and maintenance guide. It is also recommended that you clean the shower (shower base and both sides of cover plate) regularly. When cleaning the shower, it is recommended that you lift the cover plate to clean the shower base beneath it.
What happens if the UV lamp breaks? Will the system reuse dirty water?
No. If the UV lamp breaks, the shower won’t reuse any water. All the water will be directly drained, as in a regular shower. The UV lamp can be easily changed, as described in the installation and maintenance guide.
What happens if other components break?
If any of the essential components breaks (pump, power supply, etc.), the shower won’t start or clean itself. However, if any of the water treatment components function incorrectly or break, the shower may still work, but won’t recycle any water. If any of these instances occur, you should contact your dealer or an authorized after-sale service provider for repair.
What is the warranty on the product?
The EcoVéa has a limited 5-year warranty on the analytic cell, and 3 years on all mechanical and electronic components. You should contact your dealer or an authorized after-sale service provider for repair.
